In 2023, HOPE FOR BURKINA FUTURES INC and its partner RISE AGAINST HUNGER set up the Local Procurement and food distribution programme, which enabled local foodstuffs such as maize, beans, oil and fish to be distributed to 750 vulnerable families throughout 2023. In all, 30 tonnes of maize, 40 tonnes of beans, 16 tonnes of fish and 4,500 litres of oil will be distributed throughout the programme to more than 5,250 people. In addition, a 30-tonne container of rice, comprising 285,120 meals, has been used for the daily meals of schoolchildren and vulnerable people. In all, more than 5,250 people have benefited from these various programs.
